May 18-20, 2018 | Palm Desert | North vs South

2 TEAMS. 1 STATE. WHO WILL BRING HOME THE TROPHY?

OUR LOCATION

This year golfers will test themselves on the magnificent layouts of La Quinta Country Club, The Hideaway and BIGHORN. Players and spouses alike will enjoy the early summer weather and the spectacular sunset over the mountains of this world class resort destination.

OUR CHALLENGE

12 golfers from Northern California will compete against 12 golfers from Southern California in a modified Ryder Cup format over 54 holes of golf. Not your usual weekend of golf, as this event challenges friends of FCA in a highly competitive team play format. Trophies and prizes will be awarded (not to mention bragging rights).

OUR PURPOSE

The FCA Ryder Cup is our premier golfing and fundraising event of the year. Your participation allows us to pursue our vision to see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. As space is limited, we encourage you to return your registration as soon as possible. Registration includes accommodations, meals, prizes and three days of incredible golf. We will also have a Chapel service and two evening programs for you to be encouraged spiritually and to hear about the impact of FCA. For more information contact your Team Captain listed below.

SCHEDULE

Friday, May 18 – La Quinta Country Club

  • 11:30am – Registration
  • 12:00pm – Welcome Lunch
  • 12:30pm – Warm Up
  • 1:00pm – Shotgun Start (2-Man Best Ball)
  • 7:00pm – Dinner and Program

La Quinta Country Club is not your typical desert course. It’s described as being a tighter course, well bunkered with mature trees. It requires strategic course management, which is why both pros and amateurs alike favor it. Our fairways have been a virtual walk of fame. The elite of Hollywood, Monarchs, Presidents and The King – Arnold Palmer – have matched their wits and talents with our famous 18 holes. We’ve passed the test of time.

Palm Springs Life magazine awarded La Quinta Country Club “Best Private Golf Course in the Coachella Valley.”

Saturday, May 19 – The Hideaway

  • 7:30am – Breakfast
  • 9:00am – Chapel
  • 11:00am – Shotgun Start (2-Man Best Ball)
  • 7:00pm – Dinner and Program

The Hideaway’s gently rolling fairways are lined by water and sand, or punctuated by waterfalls and bunkers, leading to beautifully manicured greens. Each hole is unique and memorable, the type you’ll want to replay shot-by-shot after the round or with your friends later that night. The Pete Dye course plays to over 7,100 yards from the championship tees and to 5,100 yards from the forward tees.

Desert Golf Magazine ranks The Hideaway (Pete Dye) in the Top 5 private courses in the Coachella Valley.

Sunday, May 20 – BIGHORN

  • 6:30am – Breakfast
  • 8:00am – First Tee Time (Singles)
  • 12:30pm – Championship Lunch at BIGHORN

**Schedule subject to change

BIGHORN’s stunning terrain and history-making tournament play have made the Arthur Hills-designed Mountains and the Tom Fazio- designed Canyons courses two of golf’s most legendary 18’s. Greats of the game have thrilled viewers worldwide along these dramatic fairways. And while The Skins Games, U.S. Senior Match Play Challenge, Battles at BIGHORN and the LPGA’s Samsung World Championships have rendered unforgettable events, for Members, these breathtaking courses happen to be home. You will enjoy this year’s Awards Luncheon in the newly renovated 80,000 square foot BIGHORN clubhouse. It is spectacular!!

Golf Digest ranked BIGHORN the #18 Best Course in California.

2018 Battle at Bandon | JULY 18-21, 2018

2018 Battle at Bandon

JULY 18-21, 2018 | BANDON DUNES

THE BATTLE

24 golfers will play three days of competitive golf in a two-man format. Each day will bring a new format, a new golf course and a new partner.

THE SETTING

Golf was born on rugged, wind-swept land just like Bandon Dunes. Every hole, every hazard, every shot is defined by nature’s infinite presence. As the elements change, so does the game. It’s all part of the tradition of links golf. Lies are tight and conditions are lean. Bounce and roll are a better measure of quality than color. Mastery of the ground game becomes a more important skill than raw power. The ingenious and inventive player is rewarded with multiple options on nearly every shot. Amongst the massive dunes and hearty pines, you’ll discover golf in its purest state. Where nature is embraced, not conquered. And where the traditions of a time-honored game yield to an experience unlike any other.
